Easter Sunday April 5th 2026
As the first light of sunrise breaks over the River Shannon this Easter morning, the world seemed to pause, listening for the whisper of a promise fulfilled. The stone that once sealed the tomb of our Lord has been rolled away, and with it the darkness of death has given way to the radiant light of new life. In this moment of triumph, we are invited not only to celebrate the Resurrection but also to draw deeply into the peace that it brings—peace that surpasses every circumstance, every fear, and every division.
This Easter, let us allow that divine peace to settle within us:
· Peace with God – The empty tomb reminds us that Christ’s love has never been defeated. In Him we find the forgiveness that reconciles us to our Creator, mending the breach that sin created.
· Peace with One Another – The resurrection calls us to be ambassadors of reconciliation. As the Body of Christ, we are called to let go of grudges, to extend forgiveness, and to build bridges where there were walls.
· Peace with Ourselves – In the midst of life’s anxieties—whether they be health concerns, economic worries, or the uncertainties of the future—Christ’s victory offers a steady anchor. The promise that “the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23)
becomes a lived reality when we rest in His risen presence.
Our Easter Blessing
As we depart from the Easter liturgies and return to the rhythm of daily life, may the peace of the Resurrected Christ remain your
constant companion. May you feel Him walking beside you on your way to work, in the classroom with your children, and in the quiet moments of reflection.
Let us hold fast to the truth that the empty tomb is not an ending but a beginning—an invitation to live out the glorious mystery of
resurrection in every breath we take.
With the love of Christ and Easter blessings of peace,
Fr. John, Fr. Joseph, Fr. Simon Peter, Deacon Tony
