Paul sees nothing but good coming from his fate – whether he lives and keeps encouraging the established churches to grow, or dies and experiences the joy of being with Christ.  Either way he wins.  Isaiah encourages us to seek our God;  no matter what evil is in our past, God will still forgive us and welcome us.  No matter what, we will win.  Jesus tells us that it does not matter when we join up to do the work of God’s vineyard – whether we join early or late – either way we win.  That’s how generous God is.
