Support for the Priests in the Parish

The Priests of the parish take this opportunity to thank those who support them throughout the year by prayer and material support.

Each parish must take responsibility for the monthly stipends (financial assistance) of the priests working in the parish.

This financial support is gathered by means of four collections each year Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and Harvest.

The Priests are never paid from the normal weekly collection which goes towards the running of the parish.

While the priests do receive a small monthly allowance, they do not receive any financial support towards the purchase or running of the cars or their mobile phones.

On Sunday June 8th Pentecost Day the Special Collection will be taken up for the support of the priests. Envelopes will be delivered to you homes in the coming days which can be returned in the basket at Mass, or by dropping them in to the priests houses or office. We remain grateful to the area distributers for their kind help.
