Sr. Bernard Lynch RSM Rip

Since Monday last a veil of sadness has hung over Athlone.

Sr. Bernard Lynch was suddenly called home to be with the God she loved and devoted her life to.

Sr. Bernard has touched the lives of many families over her 50 plus years in Athlone and will be very fondly missed by all. May she rest in the knowledge that she has left a legacy of faith and service behind in her adopted home Athlone.

Today we say a very sad farewell to her as we bring her for her last drive though Athlone on route to Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church for her funeral Mass. After Mass she will travel to her native Arigna in north Roscommon where she will be laid to rest with her parents.

Sr Bernard thank you for your hard work, devotion to the people of the parish and your example of a lived faith. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. May God now reward you for a life well lived.
