|Job, Paul, and Jesus all speak of their daily work experiences and what they are called to do. Job is unhappy because of all his suffering, and he sees his days as drudgery. Paul is almost a workaholic, focused on doing whatever it takes to spread the gospel. Jesus cures the fever of Simon’s mother-in-law, and her immediate response is to get up and serve them. Jesus escapes all the crowds early the next morning by finding a lonely place to pray, and from there he urges his followers to press on with him to other villages and continue their work.
