Electricity Outage in the rural areas of the parish after last nights storm.

Currently we have Electricity in the Drum Parish Hall. Should the power still be off in parts of the parish tomorrow a decision has been made to open the Drum Parish Hall on Saturday from 12 noon until 3pm to allow people to come to a warm space to have a cup of tea, a chat, to reheat food to bring home or to eat in the hall, or to get hot water to bring home in a flask.

We will review the opening of the hall on a day by day and as needs arise.

Margaret Fallon and Josephine McManus will co-ordinate the hall. if you would like to help please let either of them know.

I take this opportunity to thank the many people I encountered around the parish today who were clearing branches and trees from the roads to make them safe.
