Christmas Penitential Service (Confessions)

Our Christmas Penitential Service will be held on Monday December 19th at 7.30 pm in Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church.

The Penetential Service provides an opportunity for us to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in preparation for Christmas.

Receiving the Sacrament of Reconcilliation is a very special moment in ones life. It is an encounter with the loving mercy of God through which we are given the grace to begin again without the burden of carrying sin and guilt on our souls.

Pope Francis spoke of the Sacrament.

“The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a Sacrament of healing. When I go to confession, it is in order to be healed, to heal my soul, to heal my heart and to be healed of some wrongdoing,” describes Pope Francis. (General Audience Feb. 2014)
