REFLECTION

Waiting is difficult. The farmers must be patient. As they work the soil and worry about getting enough, but not too much, rain they realize it is all in God’s hands. All they can do is work the soil and wait. We are promised that even the desert shall bloom. John the Baptizer, who has been waiting all his life for the Promised One, sends a message to Jesus: “Are you the one we are waiting for, or must we keep waiting?” Be hopeful! Jesus is promised to us!
